What We Collect and Receive
In order for us to provide you the best possible experience on our website and to improve our site and its content for others, we need to collect and process certain information. Depending on your use of our Services, that may include:
- Contact us via email — for example, when you ask for support, send us questions or comments, or report a problem, we will collect your name, email address, message, etc. We use this data solely in connection with answering the queries we receive.
- Usage data — when you visit our site, we will store: the website from which you visited us from, the parts of our site you visit, the date and duration of your visit, your anonymised IP address, information from the device (device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, country you are located in, and web browser type) you used during your visit, and more. We process this usage data for statistical purposes, to improve our site and to recognize and stop any misuse.
We do not share this data with anyone outside of Enigma and our directly contracted service providers who are involved in delivering these services. – They are prohibited from sharing that data with anyone.
Enigma operates a number of hosted web applications for numerous clients, in this capacity we act as a Data Processor under contract to our customers, who for the most part are Data Controllers – they set the specific expectations in terms of how data is handled and shared amongst their members / users and have the ability to create variations from Enigma’s base data handling policy. – They may also, in turn, nominate one of their customers as their Data Controller (they may be under contract with their client too in terms of what they are permitted and expected to do with the data).
We hold contracts directly with each of our customers, at times we enter into additional deeds with their clients, which commonly lay out specific undertakings for Enigma, to satisfy their own business’ requirements. – The relationships can become complex and where this is the case a privacy framework for those products would also normally exist.
Each application is different from the next and the data captured and managed within these products vary.
Every hosted product is provided to clients under Enigma’s general privacy and data handling policy which aims to protect the rights of the data subjects held within them, along with those of our customers.
